The DVI is an interface to the ISAT that enables the user to send and receive satellite phone calls and to send pre-programmed text messages.  The features of the DVI include:

• A keyboard comprising 13 keys with tactile feedback
• International number dialing
• Last number redials
• 250 pre-programmed quick dial numbers
• 99 pre-programmed text messages
• User programmable quick dial numbers
• Volume control (4 settings)
• Dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tone dialing for automated phone menus
• Indicator to notify user if data is delayed
• Locking emergency switch to trigger the ISAT emergency mode
• Panel dimming
