#SKYTRACContributes: Celebrating a Successful Christmas Give Back Initiative with $15K in Donations

Every year, SKYTRAC employees celebrate the Christmas season by participating in a Christmas give-back initiative where the team will donate time, toys, food, or money to charities close to their hearts with any monetary donations excitedly matched by SKYTRAC. Alongside monetary donations, SKYTRAC employees also participated in a toy drive and food drive to provide local families with necessities during the Christmas season. This year, SKYTRAC wishes to celebrate a successful giveback initiative where our team raised $15k in matched donations to charities within Canada.

Top Charities Announced

While the SKYTRAC team donated to various charities across Canada, we wanted to take some time to spotlight the top five charities our team donated to as they are near to our team’s heart.

BC SPCA

Since 1895, the British Columbia Society of Protection and Care of Animals (BC SPCA) has supported animals across British Columbia. From rescuing pets from dangerous homes, providing care for creatures of all kinds, and advocating for animals when no one else will, the BC SPCA is a pillar of animal support in the province. Their important work did not go unnoticed by our team as they were one of the top five companies to which the SKYTRAC team donated.

The Central Okanagan Food Bank

The Central Okanagan Food Bank (COFB) has been a favorite charity of SKYTRAC for many years. From volunteering at their Enterprise location to donating food to their cause, the SKYTRAC team strongly values their commitment and contribution to the Central Okanagan community. As the main food bank in the Okanagan region, COFB supports multiple food banks by distributing needed food to smaller communities within the Okanagan region. Once again, COFB was a top charity our team donated to, with them being one of the top three donated to last year.

First United Church Community Ministry Society

First United Church Community Ministry Society (commonly known as “First United”) has served people in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side for over 135 years. They provide essential services like food, shelter, and clothing, as well as a place for people to connect, find healing, and feel safe. First United is also committed to helping break people out of the cycle of poverty and speaking up for the marginalized. We love the work that First United does and we feel honored to be able to support them.

United Way East Ontario

United Way East Ontario is a top-rated charity that works with many other agencies, leaders, and corporations to bring about lasting change in communities across Eastern Ontario. Focusing on three main areas – kids and youth, poverty, and vulnerable groups – United Way helps thousands of people from all walks of life every year. We’re proud to support them and the incredible work that they do.

Woodstock Hospital Foundation

Supporting Woodstock Hospital in Southern Ontario, the Woodstock Hospital Foundation (WHF) raises money to upgrade technology and purchase new equipment to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to people in need. As it is the hospital’s responsibility to fund their own equipment, the WHF is a valuable charity that makes a difference in countless people’s lives. One of the key messages the SKYTRAC team provided with their donations was the foundation’s commitment to the critical care unit. We want to extend a thank you to the Woodstock Hospital Foundation for the important work it does to support nurses and doctors in the area.

We at SKYTRAC want to extend our thanks to these charities and the amazing initiatives they are taking in our community. It is always wonderful to connect with organizations making a difference in the lives of those around us. Thank you to these non-profits for improving our world and to the SKYTRAC employees who supported them during this Christmas season.
