SkyTrac provides solutions for two-way voice communication between the aircraft and the ground over the Iridium Satellite Network.  The ISAT unit contains the Iridium transceiver and supports several interface options.

A Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), equipped with SkyTrac’s STS Messenger software, can act as a dialer and allow satellite calls to be made.  Examples of supported equipment include BlackBerry and Palm Treo.

SkyTrac’s cockpit interface units (i.e. the DVI and CDP) provide the ability to make calls through the aircraft’s Intercommunications System (ICS).

In addition, SkyTrac is a reseller of the Iridium 9555 satellite telephone (SatPhone) which provides standalone voice communication capabilities to complement our other systems.
