SkyTrac’s onboard systems transmit position reports (and other data) over the Iridium network.  On the ground, SkyTrac provides end-to-end capabilities to manage this transmitted information.  The SkyTrac data centre receives and processes all transmitted data from the Iridium gateway.  This data centre incorporates redundancy across multiple computers at geographically separate sites and assures the protection and integrity of customer data.

For clients using FlightTrac Suite, the data centre forwards data to the client’s computers or networks for local storing and viewing.  In some cases, when requested by the customer, the data is forwarded to an external Automated Flight Following (AFF) system operated by a government body or other agency, or to any other program or database specified by the customer.
