 Additional Data Forward Option

The list of agencies where SkyWeb users can send their data has been amended.  See step 8 in the Hardware Manager for a list of details!

SkyWeb V 3.0

February 21, 2010

Select the red links below to see a full demonstration of that new SkyWeb 3.0 feature:

FlightWatch

The SkyWeb user can create a FlightWatch from a unit’s location to a destination. If the asset strays from the user's predetermined containment (lateral deviation and or GPS altitude) the user will be alerted via pop-up warning and or audible alarm. Other personnel can be alerted of the deviation via an email notification.

Geofence

Geofencing enables SkyWeb users to set geographical boundaries and will notify the user when assets violate these boundaries. Users can fence assets into a specific area or alternatively identify areas in which assets should not be flying. It is ultimately the responsibility of the pilot to ensure their flight path will avoid any restricted or controlled airspace which they are not authorized to be in.

Flight Reports

The SkyWeb user now has two additional tabs available in the Reports (previously Comms Traffic Reports) section. These tabs are for Flight Reports which provide historical reporting of flight data (previously only available in Flightmap) and violation/deviation reports which provide information from FlightWatch and GeoFence.

Reports (Demo)

Historical Data

The SkyWeb user can now load up to 31 days of historical data at a time in the load position box. This data can be retrieved from the last 12 months. Previously this was limited to the last 4 flights or last 4 days.

Overdue Notifications

The SkyWeb user can now set notifications for in-flight assets that have missed sending a defined number (3-25) of position reports. Selected personnel are notified by email when the unit has missed the appointed number of reports.

DVI Messages

In SkyWeb 3 any user that has the Administrator role will now have the ability to set the pre-programmed text messages for the 10 numeric keys on the DVI (0-9).

SkyWeb V 2.7

December 5, 2008

SkyWeb version 2.7 is now available. Click the links below to see a demonstration of the new features:

Resizable Icons and the New AFF Icon

  • All aircraft icons are now resizable by selecting the required size from the relevant menu. This will allow the user to determine how large they should be. There is also an automatic option that will cause the icon to change size with the relevant zoom level.
  • For those aircraft that have been placed on AFF Contract in SkyWeb's Hardware Manager, there is a new easily identifiable icon. This will enable the user to see at a glance which aircraft have been put on contract or taken off.

Hardware Configuration Report

  • A report is now available that will allow Hardware Managers to see the configuration details of all units. It includes a color coded scheme that will highlight possible issues that may need to be resolved.

Hardware Manager: AFF Only Role

  • The new 'Hardware Manager: AFF Only' role can be assigned by the Account Manager. Individuals with this role will be able to designate units as being on/off AFF Contract. They will not, however, have access to the other areas of the Hardware Manager.

Documentation

  • Both the Administrator Guide and the User Guide have been updated to incorporate the latest features.

All of the links above require the user to enter a password. This is the same as the one normally used to access the Customer Support area.
