SkyTrac to Provide SatCom and Flight Following to Aerospace Consortium FZE

February 15, 2010

SkyTrac is pleased to announce that it was selected by Dubai based Aerospace Consortium FZE to supply SatCom/flight following solutions for Aerospace’s fleet of Boeing-747, Ilyushin-76, Antonov-26, Antonov-72, Anotonov-74, MI 8T, MI 8MTV, Kamov 32, and Bell 412.

Aerospace Consortium works in aid and emergency relief programs, as well as in quick relief disaster situations in which there is limited to no air traffic control or radio coverage. In these situations, Aerospace depends heavily on SkyTrac’s high level of system reliability. Aerospace will soon complete the installation of SkyTrac hardware on their entire fleet.

Mr. B S Bali, Head of Public Relations for Aerospace, described the process through which SkyTrac was chosen as a vendor; “we evaluated prospective vendors using such criteria as features, flexibility, coverage, facility, after sales and technical support, and of course price. We also took into consideration the strong positive feedback we received from several of SkyTrac’s existing customers.” Bali also stated that because they do not operate scheduled flights, they rely on the rigor of SkyTrac’s technology to enable them to quickly and efficiently divert aircraft from one destination to another.

SkyTrac CEO, Kathleen Wallace stated, “As a provider of SatCom and flight following solutions to the global aviation community, SkyTrac is pleased to include Aerospace Consortium to its growing list of customers. In remote and hostile conditions, SkyTrac’s Iridium based flight following and SatCom solutions increase the safety of the flight crew by ensuring reliable delivery of critical information in near real time.”
